The Anode Dweevil is a yellow Dweevil that will emit an electrical discharge when agitated by attacks. This electrical discharge will immediately electrocute and stun or kill attacking Pikmin without a chance to save them, potentially making it one of the most dangerous Dweevils. This suitably makes Yellow Pikmin the best choice in battle. Since Purple Pikmin can stun any small Dweevil, they will also work well; however, this is a very risky strategy. Anode Dweevils are frail creatures and will die quickly if attacked by even a few Pikmin, or by the punches from a leader. When a treasure or a corpse of another creature is nearby, an Anode Dweevil will lift it up onto its head and carry it, making it impossible for Pikmin to collect until it is broken free. When a Dweevil has an item in its possession, it will stay at rest, crouching down, appearing as if it is only the item, until it is approached by a leader or Pikmin, at which point it will stand up and run away.

Notes

Olimar's notes

"Members of the Dweevil family are known for carrying objects of astonishing size on their backs and mimicking them. The Anode Dweevil is one species in this family. They seem to have no particular preference for which objects they carry on their backs, as they will carry anything they can lift. They boast an internal organ that generates electrical charges, which the Anode Dweevil releases when it senses danger."

Louie's notes

"Raw Anode Dweevil makes for an unforgettable sushi treat, but if it is not prepared by an expert hand with exact precision, consumption could result in a jolting electrical explosion of apocalyptic proportion."

Template:PTWOL So far, the Anode Dweevil has appeared in The Summoning Garden near the Comrade's Cavern, on sublevel 2 of the Melodic Maze, and 2 of them on sublevel 1, one on sublevel 5 holding the Curious Manifestation, and 4 on the bridge on sublevel 9 of the Yellow Depths.

Olimar's Notes

"I have noticed that, in some ways, Anode Dweevils are similar to Yellow Pikmin. They are both resistant to electricity, and they can carry massive objects (Yellow Pikmin need more than one to carry some objects, however). Now, if only I could find a way to get them to help me..."
