Blue Wollywogs are a subspecies of Wollywog that share the same shape as a typical member of its kind. They possess an entirely different color scheme, however: their slippery flesh is colored electric blue with green stripes. When Pikmin near it, a Blue Wollywog will begin hissing. Once approached further, it then jumps through the air to try to flatten them. When a Blue Wollywog lands, it sends out a watery wave three hundred sixty degrees around it, an attack proving deadly to non-Blues. Only Blue Pikmin should attempt to fight this enemy, although it is possible for other Pikmin to defeat it.

In Pikmin: Mysterious Raiders, the Blue Wollywog is blue with green eyes and red spots. They appear only at Perilous Wild and stay in the stream with Peach Bulborbs trudging nearby.

The Blue Wollywog will hop towards a leader or Pikmin to leap directly over them and fall. The descent is brief and it kills all Pikmin under it. Blue Wollywogs also send a signature three hundred sixty-degree splash of water when it hits the ground. It is light blue with lime green eyes and feet, and has a body shaped similar to that of the Wollywog.

In Pikspore, Blue Wollywogs appear in Foghorn Wetlands. They're a bit easier to defeat, as the water wave attack only works in actual water. However, the wave is much larger and can wash onto dry land, potentially harming unaware Pikmin by the shore.
