Cinnamon Breadbugs appear in Pikmin: Attack of the Breadbugs, and have a one in two hundred chance to spawn instead of a normal Breadbug in any territory at any time. They act like can be attacked as any ordinary Breadbug can, but they have twice the health and have the ability to heal over time. Once defeated, a Cinnamon Breadbug will drop a 20-pellet. Cinnamon Breadbugs also have a small chance of dropping one or two blobs of nectar upon defeat. When attacked, Cinnamon Breadbugs release a pink cloud of cinnamon that pacifies and attracts any Pikmin within a certain range of it.

Cinnamon Breadbugs in Pikmin: Connection of the Worlds are worth fifty seeds each, rivaling the seed worth of the Diamond Beetle. Their larger counterpart is the Giant Cinnamon Breadbug.

In Pikmin: The Pollution, the Cinnamon Breadbug behaves like a normal Breadbug, but has twice the amount of health, three times the defense, and heals over time. Defeating one will cause it to yield a 100-pellet of a random color, and because of this Cinnamon Breadbugs are the only enemy to drop such a reward.

The Cinnamon Breadbug is a rare breadbug appearing in Pikmin: Redemption. When a standard Breadbug brings a carcass or other object into its nest, there is a one in one hundred twenty-eight chance that it will emerge as a Cinnamon Breadbug instead. Cinnamon Breadbugs are identified by their pink skin and red blubber, and the aura they give off wherever they go. If not defeated before it returns to its hole, it will return to normal unless the fortune decides it should stay a Cinnamon Breadbug for a bit longer. Killing a Cinnamon Breadbug will cause it to drop a wealth of pellets and sprays, making it very valuable despite not it giving many Pikmin seeds, or Pokos. One Breadbug in particular, near Flooded Abyss's landing site, has a whopping one-in-five chance of initially emerging as or becoming a Cinnamon Breadbug. However, it does not drop the typical Cinnamon Breadbug spoils when killed, as it instead yields the Diamond Knuckle. After this, killing that particular Cinnamon Breadbug again will cause it to yield the normal drops.
