The Dwarf Sonic Bulblax is a member of the grub-dog family and the dwarf counterpart of the Sonic Bulblax. As such, it resembles a Sonic Bulblax, having a light pink face, a dark purple backside featuring blue spines, a pair of eyes with blue irises, and a jagged maw, but the size of any other dwarf. It attacks by eating Pikmin when close enough to them, and firing a weak sonic wave from its mouth at Pikmin and leaders when at a distance. This sonic wave stuns Pikmin and also reverts their maturities to the leaf stage, allowing an easy meal for the Dwarf Sonic Bulblax. Dwarf Sonic Bulblaxes also follow behind any nearby Sonic Bulblaxes. Swarming is an effective tactic against a Dwarf Sonic Bulblax, but throwing a single Pikmin directly onto its back will kill it instantly.
