Attacks Drops fireballs and burns Pikmin

The Fireflap Bulborb is a species of Breadbug in Pikmin: Decayed Leaf. The creature resembles its original appearance in Hey! Pikmin. Noticeably, it will illuminate the surrounding area it is in, mainly when in a cave. Fireflap Bulborbs will fly around, waiting for Pikmin to cross by. It will then swoop down a release a small fireball. When it lands, it will create a small fire shockwave that can burn Pikmin. Rubber Pikmin can negate these attacks. During its swooping down phase, Red Pikmin can be thrown at it to weigh it down and cause it to fall. When a Fireflap Bulborb dies, its flames extinguish, allowing any Pikmin type to carry its remains. Dart Pikmin and Iguana Pikmin cannot hurt these creatures due to their fire element.

Notes

Olimar's notes

This creature is actually a breadbug! Being some sort of aerial evolution of the Dwarf Fiery Bulblax, the breadbug will fly around searching for prey. It will actually molt its own skin to use as ammunition to kill creatures. This is why the only time the Fireflap Bulborb is seen is during its molting season. Otherwise, it spends its time hibernating in its nest.

Louie's notes

This creature practically cooks itself! This bug is best eaten piece by piece; wings first. The wings have a very crunchy texture.

President’s notes

This breadbug kinda looks like a butterfly! If I use the ship's hyper-shrinking technology, I could possibly shrink this bug and put it in a jar. Maybe Louie would like it for a snack. I know he’s a bug fanatic...
