The Grabbit is a small grasshopper-like enemy. It is green with large red eyes, so it can easily be mistaken as a scarpanid, but it is a jellyper. It has a lighter green head and overall ovular shape. It sports tiny bug-like wings that it uses to jump very high with the help of its legs. This is also its method of killing Pikmin, by landing on and crushing its target. Pikmin can, however, walk right past them without being harmed. It is slightly smaller a leader and only needs one Pikmin throw to kill. It is usually safer to wait until they land and stand still, preferably under the arc of its jump, since at that point they are harmless. Grabbits hop around an area, only turning around when they face an obstacle.
Log Notes
- The wings on its back are decorative; it can't actually fly. Its powerful legs give its jumps some hang time, though. My jumps, meanwhile, are not worth mentioning, but the jetpack on my back does let me fly over short distances. I wonder if it's jealous of me for that.

The Grabbit is a weak enemy only found in the first area of the game: the Cloven Gardens. It is a weak enemy, and can be defeated by a single Pikmin landing on top of it like the Dwarf Bulborbs. They hardly do much damage towards the player or their Pikmin: they will wander in an area, ocassionally hopping up high and hovering for a short two seconds before dropping to the ground. It will make a shorter hop in the air and try landing on a Pikmin, similar to the Yellow Wollywog only much weaker and less ranged.
Notes
- This very small creature is another example of Evolutionary mimicry, as it strongly resembles the juvenile stage of most Scarpanid species. This could be do to the fact that juvenile Scarpanids are highly poisonous, and the Grabbit's body evolved to mimic that. However, unlike other mimicing species, this specimen doesn't fool the Scarpanid species, and some instances are actually hunted by adult Scarpanids. As such they're hardly ever found in the same areas.
