In Pikmin: Dimensional Breach, the Green Bulbear behaves identically to the Black Bulbear in Pikmin 3, though with a few key differences. Black Bulbears follow them, Green Bulbears have a dwarf counterpart, and about half of all Green Bulbears travel alone. Additionally, Green Bulbears are much quieter than Black Bulbears, which retain their distinct growls and snarls. Lastly, Green Bulbears still revive after being defeated, despite the fact that Black Bulbears lost that ability.

The Green Bulbear appears in Pikmin: Invasion of the Giants. A large grub-dog, the Green Bulbear should be weakened indirectly by defeating the Spotty Bulbears around it. Ensure they don't group behind the Green Bulbear, or else there may be heavy Pikmin losses. If a Green Bulbear is seen, it's best to ensure a leader's Pikmin is able to keep up with them, using a dose of ultra-spicy spray if necessary. Run around the beast to reach its backside, moving faster than the beast can turn. Throw Pikmin at its backside when possible, and then run by the front of it to act as tempting bait. When it shakes Pikmin off, it will go after the leader in front of it instead of the Pikmin attacking it. Loop around to recall the Pikmin attacking it, and repeat the cycle until the creature is dead. A Green Bulbear can be found on sublevel one of the Pit of Raveny. A comical note to mention about Captain Olimar's notes for the Green Bulbear is that they would be more appropriate for the Scrub Brush, and his notes for the Scrub Brush would be more appropriate for the Green Bulbear.

Notes

Olimar's notes

This beast had swallowed a treasure that I have named the Scrub Brush. Due to the treasure's immense size, it has very little practical use as a cleaning tool. However, it is as effective as a sand-blaster at removing unwanted space metal-leeches!

Louie's notes

There is a lot of meat in this beast! Use it however you see fit, but caution: unexpected results may occur.

The Green Bulbear is a large grub-dog appearing in Pikmin: Redemption. It resembles a Spotty Bulbear, although slightly larger and with green skin and spots. As it wanders an area, Spotty Bulbears it passes by may follow behind it, and they, in turn, may be followed by Dwarf Bulbears they pass by. A Green Bulbear can eat up to fifteen Pikmin in one bite, and it has double the stamina of a Spotty Bulbear. It can also revive some time after dying, meaning its body must be somehow disposed of quickly to avoid another confrontation with the creature. Twenty-five Pikmin are required to carry the body of a Green Bulbear, and fifty Pikmin can carry it at most. It is the most challenging normal enemy in the game and yields one hundred fifty seeds when brought to an Onion. Use whatever tools are available to weaken the Green Bulbear and its group of bulbears. A recommended but dangerous strategy is to battle them at the landing site, where the Onions are. A Green Bulbear can be found in Merged Nothingness, at the tower landing site.

Notes

Olimar's notes

This bulbear is closely linked to its smaller cousin, the spotty bulbear. Green bulbears act as a pack leader of spotty bulbears and juvenile bulbears. Noticeable features of the green bulbear are that is twice the size of a spotty bulbear, and they have green spots, lips, eyes, and skin. However, when around a giga bulbear, they follow, so an entire colony of bulbears may follow. Caution is advised when around this creature.

Notes

Peach Bulborb's notes

This one is really dangerous. It leads spotty bulbears, which in turn lead dwarf bulbears. Interestingly, the spotty bulbear only assumes a pacified expression and does not attack Pikmin unless the green bulbear roars. This follows the same pattern as a dwarf bulbear, as it just follows behind the spotty bulbear, with an expression that indicates a hollow skull. Thus, defeat the green bulbear quickly and efficiently to minimize Pikmin losses. Sprays are advised. If you defeat the green one, one of the spotty bulbears will take command, leaving the others free to roam.
