Scornets are a combination of a bee and hummingbird, resembling fuzzy, cone-shaped bees with bulging blue eyes and large golden feathers. When not commanded by a Scornet Maestro, they aimlessly fly around in swarms. If any Pikmin are spotted, they form an arrow shape with their facial stingers erect and charge. Pikmin who are caught must be saved before the Scornets kill them.

The Scornet Maestro is the queen of a large Scornet colony. It looks like a large Scornet with a long beak, red eyes with yellow sclera, arms that end in furry hands, and a small, bushy tail. The Scornet Maestro is only vulnerable when its Scornets fly away after an attack.

Shady Sparrowhead

Main article: Shady Sparrowhead

The Shady Sparrowhead resembles a crow and is one of the larger types of sparrowhead. It is openly hostile and wastes no time in attacking its prey, signaling its attack with a characteristic caw.
