Kansa Basilica is the dungeon located at the end of Placid Plains. It is a large ancient temple made of clay and vines. The interior is of a brick/plant hybrid material. It has six levels, with a miniboss on level two and a boss on level five. Yellow Pikmin are discovered here just before the miniboss fight.

Plot/Progression

Olimar and company enter the basilica, in awe of is massive size. The main chamber seems to be a place of worship, with a large altar containing appears to be various herbs and minerals. Suddenly an Acidic Toxibeetle leaps out from behind the altar. Three Dwarf Red Bulborbs approach from behind as well. The player must multitask to defeat the enemies, which shows off the ally captain AI. When split up, Olimar can be controlled like normal, but the second captain will automatically attack enemies with Pikmin when indicated to do so in the command menu.

After clearing the main chamber, the player can progress through the dungeon. The signal is coming from the fifth floor of the dungeon. Upon coming to the second floor, the player must complete a puzzle involving moving pillars with runes on them. The player won't be able to figure out where each pillar goes until finding the Didactic Scroll back on the first floor. After the third floor is almost reached an Enraged Screechorb breaks through a wall and attacks the player. Once the miniboss fight is complete, the hidden room from which the miniboss came from is discovered. In the room is the Prism Shield, an upgrade for the captains.

Upon reaching the fifth floor, a mysterious room seems to be locked. The player has to advance to the sixth floor to find a Yellow Onion Golem and five Yellows. This enables the player to leave the dungeon and find the Kansa Keystone in Beevorb Tunnel, allowing the mysterious room to be unlocked. Coramon is found here, and proclaims that he lured Olimar and the others here.

"I have been trapped in this plane for decades, and when I finally sensed other intelligent life, I knew I was saved! But then you sided with them... Those insolent little worms... Pikmin are meant to be skinned and put on your floor as a rug! You will know my true power, as a druid of the Vor Order!", Coramon says.

The Coramon boss fight is initated. Once the player dispatches of the foe, a blue portal opens up. An artifact falls out, the Astral Key. Olimar and company bring the artifact back to the Super Onion, and it becomes sucked in by a blue vortex! Olimar and the others are sucked in to the vortex as well, ripping them across the dimensions into a strange new world...
