Attacks Shoots out mud

The Muddy Blowhog is an enemy in Pikmin Spider Attack, and is a close relative to the Fiery Blowhog and Watery Blowhog. This Blowhog looks identical to the other Blowhogs, except it has a brown snout.

Appearance

It looks just like its other relatives, except it has a brown snout.

Attacks

The Muddy Blowhog can shoot mud out of its snout, causing Pikmin other than Brown Pikmin will panic. The Pikmin will fall over, and mud will be spilling off of the Pikmin's leaf, causing nearby Pikmin to catch the mud and panic again. It can also throw off Pikmin, and can potentially throw them into a dangerous hazard.

How to defeat

Brown Pikmin are the ideal choice to deal with Muddy Blowhogs, as they are resistant to mud, but caution is advised as it can still throw them into a hazard. You should swarm the Blowhog with Brown Pikmin right after it shakes off Pikmin, maximizing the amount of time they can attack it. In addition, you can also quickly throw many Pikmin on it in order to overwhelm it, then proceed to swarm it. Finally, Red Pikmin can be used instead of Brown Pikmin, as they have the highest attack power, but only at their own risk.

Olimar's Notes

When Olimar first discovers the Muddy Blowhog, he will write a note about it.

"This blowhog is a close relative to the Fiery and Watery Blowhog. It is actually a Watery Blowhog, but its genes are very filthy and unhealthy, causing it to shoot mud and its snout to change color. Since the Muddy Blowhog is not very healthy, it must be a endangered subspecies."
