The Noxious Stagren is a medium-sized beetle-like stag enemy with a green body and purple eyes. It has hooves and a tail resembling those of a dinosaur and can use them to crush Pikmin. It also has an appendage sticking out the right side of the front thorax which produces poison clouds. This enemy is first encountered in Placid Plains, just before White Pikmin are discovered.

Strategy

This enemy is nimble and moves fast. The danger zones are underneath and behind, as the hooves and tail will crush Pikmin periodically. The best method of attack is to throw White Pikmin at the poison appendage when it is producing poison, wherein it will clog it and stun the enemy. Then a standard attack is in order. This stun lasts for about five seconds. Sometimes it will run away, leaving a trail of poison smoke in its wake. Also, it will occasionally do a spinning attack where it knocks Pikmin down with its tail. Beware, as it will immediately go to stomp on these Pikmin if not whistled in a timely manner. Great care is to be taken around this foe.

Notes

Encyclopaedia animerros

"Cervus maegro, kingdom Animalia, phylum cannicus, class vegeterri, family cervelementae. This quadrupedal organism has powerful legs and hooves, an equally powerful spiked tail, and an asymmetrical noxious gas-emitting appendage. One would think that this makes for a powerful predator, but the noxious stagren is quite the opposite: a skittish prey animal. One must wonder how powerful its natural predator foe is for it to have evolved such advanced defenses."
