The Peeved Aristocrab is an onionshell appearing in Pikmin: Dimensional Breach. Like many aristocrabs, the Peeved Aristocrab is best fought using mainly a single type of Pikmin; in this case, Red Pikmin. It has a large, charred-looking claw that it uses to grab and hold Pikmin before eating them; unlike several of its relatives, the Peeved Aristocrab can not be coerced into dropping Pikmin. If charged at, it will hoist itself above the air with its legs, and after shaking off Pikmin, it will belch forth a gout of flame that will set any non-Red Pikmin in the area on fire. Uniquely, Peeved Aristocrabs will fight with other nearby enemies using its fire breath and claw attacks, which is most noticeable in the Onionshell Nest and during the challenge, The Aristocrabs.

Notes

Olimar's observations

A solitary member of the onionshell family, the Peeved Aristocrab tends to prefer cold areas thanks to its heightened internal body temperature, but it is capable of surviving underground in any area. Uniquely among onionshells, the Peeved Aristocrab is not only solitary but incredibly hostile to other forms of life, going after nearby animals seemingly with the intent to kill for sport. The chitinous mass around their claws, plus an internal fire-ignition mechanism akin to that possessed by Fiery Blowhogs, not only makes hunting trivial but also grants it an advantage in combat. On rare occasions, it has been observed that Peeved Aristocrabs will raid onionshell nests to take eggs and larval Aristocrabs for later consumption.

Louie's cookbook

The beast's meat gives off a pleasant wood-fired-steak smell, but its taste is unfortunately a completely different story. The capsaicin levels in its tissues are too high to consume without injury, let alone offer a pleasant dining experience. Recommended for hardcore spice-lovers ONLY.

Sagittarius' taming notes

Sharp claw? Check. Fire breath? Check. Sentient, territorial, and potentially genocidal? Check, check, and check. The Peeved Aristocrab is best left in the wild, no questions asked.

Libra's fashion notes

The charred wood look for its claw would be an interesting color choice for tables, chairs, and even bathtubs. The texture and durability would be comparable to polished obsidian, and it could even be fashioned into an outfit for the most hardcore of Halloween parties. But there is only one problem preventing this from becoming reality: whatever the claw is made of, it's practically impossible to work with. Sigh...

Charlie's battle strategies

Ultimately, this creature's short temper is its undoing. As a hardened military commander myself, I know from experience that it's always a good idea to pick your battles carefully. If you just charge into battle, rip and tear everything in sight, and expect to somehow not be worn down and weak enough for even a mildly-competent squadron to take you down, then there is something seriously wrong with you.

Derrick's grimoire

Its heart is full of anger, hate, and fear, something which drives it to be a dreadful opponent in combat. However, this anger has more than a few uses, chief among them being its use in heat-generating spells. Siphon some of the creature's blood into a glass phial, mix with Glowcap extract, and spark with a flint and striker to make a combination lantern and heat pack. It's not quite a campfire, but it will suffice to keep one warm in the cold, dark nights in the Tundra of Repose.
