Scientific name Shiropedes ambulatria
Family Snavian

The Pileated Snagret has a scaly green body, a head covered with red-orange feathers, and eyes covered by some ear-like features. Compared to the Burrowing Snagret, this snagret is definitely more powerful, as it has a lot more health, is much larger, and can hop on the ground.

Notes

Olimar's observations

This beast of a bird is no pushover. The regular old Burrowing Snagrets may not be all that strong, but these ones are clever. They expect you to make that assumption, then start jumping at you when you least expect it! I would have to experiment more with these birds, but it seems they may have limited ability to make speech like noises, similar to many of the birds back on Hocotate. Well if that's true, I'm quite interested. Maybe I could teach one to sing like the Pikmin. Of course teaching it to actually be friendly and not a killer would probably be my first priority.

Cookin' with Louie

You haven't lived until you've tasted a mint-braised snagret shank! Or if you're feeling especially saucy, stuff a bird with a can of your favorite savory nectar, throw it on the barbeque, and let the juices mingle to make a mean beverage-canister snagret!
