Pulley Rocks can appear in some areas and caves, and can be removed from your path by throwing Pikmin onto the handle or handles that it's pulley system eventually connects the rock itself to, lifting the rock into the air as long as the Pikmin are hanging onto the handles. White Pikmin and Black Pikmin, which are smaller, don't weigh the pulleys down as much, and as such don't count towards lifting the rock as much. The handles for the rock can be found a distance away from the rock itself, though you will never have to traverse an entire area for them. Generally speaking, if there are more than two handles, a single handle's worth of Pikmin won't be enough to lift the rock. Sometimes handles may be found both on the side of the rock that is open to exploration as well as the side blocked by the rock. Usually those handles on the blocked side are there so that you might be able to go back through the passage that the rock blocked. An instance of this can be found in Feverpitch Forest, where a Pulley Rock is blocking the path to the Area Boss, it's rewards, a Fruit, a Treasure, two pieces of Scrap, and the entrances to a cave and a dungeon.
