The Seedbagger is a large, passive creature that stores sparklium seeds inside its translucent body and relinquishes them upon death. It moves fairly slowly and has no means of offense, and when attacked, it scrambles to retreat by burrowing into the ground.

The Seedbagger is a returning enemy appearing in Pikmin: Decayed Leaf. The large, amorphous creature can only be found inside caves. While it does have some set points where it always appears, the Seedbagger can randomly appear in any sublevel of any cave, with a 1.5% chance of appearing on the current sublevel. Encountering a Seedbagger through this rare chance will unlock the "Seedbagged!" achievement. The Seedbagger is a strange creature physically. The enemy is a large, rotund creature with a translucent body. The creature also has two pointed ears on the front of it and scuttles around on its eight legs, four legs on each side of it. The Seedbagger’s ears and feet all have a non-translucent, red-tipped coating on the end. Due to its see-through qualities, the Seedbagger’s contents, being gold nuggets, can easily be seen by the player.
The Seedbagger, no matter how it appears, can be found sleeping in a random spot. As it sleeps, the gold nuggets in its body will glow a bright, sparkly yellow, attracting the attention of the leaders. If the Seedbagger is touched, attacked, brushed upon, or even approached, it will awaken from its slumber. Noises like the yips of dwarf bulborbs, bomb rock blasts, and roars from larger enemies can awaken the creature. Once risen from its sleep, it will begin to run off. The Seedbagger will constantly run away from Pikmin and leaders, making necessary turns to avoid them and other obstacles like walls, never stopping to take a break. The Seedbagger will only remain above ground for 25 seconds. Once the time is up, the creature will swiftly burrow underground. If gold nuggets were still in the creature when it escaped, they will be lost, unable to be obtained. Due to this, the gold nuggets in a Seedbagger are not part of the list of the total treasures in a cave, unlike normal piles of gold nuggets. If attacked, the Seedbagger will continue to run; Pikmin will end up falling off due to the bumpiness and speed of the creature. However, during the time they are latched on, they will attack the Seedbagger. The more damage that’s dealt, the more nuggets the creature will release from its amorphous body. Once all 30 gold nuggets are dropped from the Seedbagger, the enemy will burrow into the ground, never to be seen again. After interacting with a naturally-appearing Seedbagger, it will not appear in that sublevel until at least three days have passed, after which it will appear again, usually in a different spot.
The Seedbagger can be taken out in a variety of different ways but must be caught up to first. Managing to corner the Seedbagger into a dead end, corner, or wall, will open it to attack. Timing a bomb rock throw can also instantly defeat the Seedbagger. Merely sending a group of Pikmin to attack the creature is somewhat effective, although they may not be able to catch up due to its speed. White Pikmin, due to their speed, can catch up to the Seedbagger, although they cannot latch onto the creature as well as other Pikmin. Purple Pikmin, Rock Pikmin, and Weighted Pikmin that slam onto the creature will cause it to drop three gold nuggets from its body at a time, although they may not be able to catch up to the enemy due to their speed. Dart Pikmin that puncture the beast will do inflict damage and release three nuggets as well, but it’s hard to aim at the Seedbagger due to its skitterish nature. The best Pikmin type to use against the Seedbagger is the Fur Pikmin. Thanks to their significant speed and their ability to latch onto enemies longer with their claws, they can catch up to the Seedbagger and do constant damage.
In Overlord mode, the Seedbagger is much faster. It also only remains above ground for 20 seconds before burrowing away.

The gold that Seedbaggers eat contains very vital minerals that help the creature survive. Due to the long process it takes for the Seedbagger to digest solid gold, it mainly sleeps above ground to pass the time. If threatened, it may lighten its gold load so it can escape from any predators.”
