A Seeding Dandelion is a Dandelion which has flowered for long enough to be pollinated and produce a batch of fresh seeds, each attached to a fluffy white tuft. In Pikmin 2, Pikmin 3, and Pikmin Adventure, Seeding Dandelions serve as decoration, and bumping into one will dislodge one or two seeds that float away. Additionally, in Pikmin 3, Dandelions gradually change into Seeding Dandelions as days pass, and throwing a Pikmin into it will dislodge all its seeds. In Hey! Pikmin, Seeding Dandelions serve as a stopping point for Pikmin, as thrown Pikmin will remain there until they are whistled.

Notes

Olimar's observations

This rather uncommon weed spreads its seeds around whenever it is disturbed, usually by the wind. It is certainly a unique way to reproduce, but I'm not sure if it's all that effective.

Cookin' with Louie

Dried, roasted, and finely ground, the root of this plant makes a passable coffee substitute.
