Obsidian Candypop Buds are a variety of candypop bud found in Pikmin X: Deep Freeze, although they are only named as such in the Piklopedia; when locked onto, they are simply referred to as "Candypop Bud" like the rest. These flowers have a black coloration to their petals and will convert up to five Pikmin thrown in into Burr Pikmin before wilting away. The base of this flower bears orange thorns, much like the Burr Pikmin themselves; these are purely decorative and do not injure Pikmin or leaders.
