The Spiked Ionpid is an ionpid appearing in Pikmin Chronicles. They are yellowish-green with a very slight hint of brown and are slightly smaller and skinnier than other members of the ionpid family. Most notably, a majority of its body is covered in spikes that deflect all attacks. The only way to kill these creatures is to use bomb rocks or to attack their faces. Like most ionpids, they can not kill Pikmin but can depetal them by slapping them with their tails and can harm captains by biting them with their toothless jaws.
