Attacks Eats Pikmin, melts Pikmin

The Tropical Sparrowhead is a native to the rainforest island on Creature's Quay seen in Pikmin: Shipwrecked Stargazers. They resemble the humble Sparrowhead, but with a black body. Their beaks and eyes are purple, and they have green, mask like markings with yellow outlines. They have tail feathers that branch out into many pairs with red, blue and orange markings. They are based off of birds-of-paradise, with defense methods similar to giant petrels.

Aimlessley, Tropical Sparrowheads will fly around the island, occasionally stopping in place to turn around and find any Pikmin. Upon spotting them, the Tropical Sparrowhead will swoop down and clasp it's beak onto a Pikmin. The pest will then swallow the Pikmin whole. If it comes across a large Pikmin army, the Tropical Sparrowhead will regurgitate a yellow/orange stomach acid to melt Pikmin. As such, Green Pikmin are recommended.

Notes

Olimar's Notes

"The Tropical Sparrowhead lives an overall reclusive life in the canopies of sprawling jungles, lowering down to the forest floor to pick on ground dwellers. When it senses a threat, a neurological response in it's tiny brain initiates a gag reflex. Thus allowing it to vomit it's intestinal acids onto foes. Such powerful control of emesis is as interesting as it is distressingly repulsive. Some Tropical Sparrowheads have mauve colored domino mask-like markings rather than green ones, but it's unknown if such is due to genetics or dimorphism"

Louie's Notes

"Squab becoming too basic for you? Want something with more of a spicy aftertaste? Well then marinade this delectable morsel in your choice of spicy sauce and send it on it's way to the oven. Buisness meetings are never to be the same!"
