In Pikmin X: Deep Freeze, the Albino Breadbug is easily noticeable due to both its croissant-shaped body and the fact that it produces its own light to help it navigate through dark caverns. Like any other breadbug, this creature largely ignores the presence of Pikmin and is perfectly content searching the area for carcasses to drag back to its burrow. However, the bright glow from the Albino Breadbug will draw the attention of other enemies, interested not in the Albino Breadbug's inedible meat but in Pikmin and other small creatures that may be attracted to its light. It is safer to make sure that there are no other enemies nearby while hunting an Albino Breadbug.

Though the Albino Breadbug's hide is too tough for Pikmin to get a hold of, tossing one directly onto its back will deal some damage. However, once the breadbug realizes it is under attack, it flashes wildly to disorient nearby Pikmin and cause them to panic, allowing it to run away to safety. As a result, it is much more reliable to use the same trick that works with other breadbugs and have Pikmin carry something the Albino Breadbug is trying to drag, causing it to receive considerable damage once it slams into the Onion or Research Pod. Be sure there are enough Pikmin on the object to overpower the Albino Breadbug, as they can otherwise be dragged into its burrow along with the object and thus perish.
