The Big Orangeetle is a relative of the Orangeetle appearing in Pikmin: The Continents, serving as the first boss. Compared to its lesser kin, the Big Orangeetle has paler orange spots on its wing casings. It can only eat one Pikmin at a time, but can also fly around once it reaches half-health, and crush Pikmin it happens to land on. Because of its poisonous nature, Pikmin such as Jungle Pikmin are most effective against it, although its tendency to shake Pikmin off of itself makes it an annoying foe even then. Upon defeat, it spits up the orange power crystal.
