The Blizzard Mutt is the third boss in Pikmin: Adventure of Four, serving as the main boss of Snowhead. It resembles a large Curdew in its rabid form and has gray fur, large claws, and glowing red eyes. Reaching the Blizzard Mutt is not difficult, as all that must be done is clearing a path from the landing site to the fire geysers blocking its circular arena. Although seemingly otherwise, Ice Pikmin will be needed for the battle, as vaguely indicated by the enemies that use cold; furthermore, Red Pikmin and Green Pikmin will be critical because of their high attack damage. About thirty Ice Pikmin, and thirty to fifty Red Pikmin or Green Pikmin, should be brought, and both groups should be assigned separately into the squads of two leaders.
The Blizzard Mutt's attacks are much like that of a Curdew, in that it claws at Pikmin to pick them up and then eat them, but can also sweep its tail to knock them and leaders over, use its paws to crush them, and, most dangerously, breathe frost to freeze Pikmin. Have the leader with the Ice Pikmin confront the Blizzard Mutt, and the other leader remain close by on the stone path, out of harm's way, with their Pikmin. After taking sufficient damage, the Blizzard Mutt will become dazed temporarily, turning a dark gray color, with the appearance of cartoony stars circling its head. This is when the other leader should enter the fight and use their Red Pikmin and Green Pikmin to inflict extreme harm to the Blizzard Mutt, using ultra-spicy spray for further punishment. When the Blizzard Mutt comes to and returns to its normal color and its stars begin to fade, have the second leader return to their initial spot and the first leader resume attacking with their Ice Pikmin. After its defeat, the Blizzard Mutt relinquishes Libra, the last leader found; she reveals she has a hint as to who or what the One is.
