Bloominous Stemples are plants that grow in caves, in a dormant state, and bloom while light is shone on them. While blooming, they act as platforms and will not revert to their dormant state as long as the light continues shining on them.

Caves Desperado Ditch

In Pikmin: Shipwrecked Stargazers, the Bloominous Stemples can be illuminated in more ways than just merely using electrodes. The plunger boxes in Desperado Ditch can detonate dynamite, sometimes found in the ceiling. If it is in the ceiling, light will pour into the cave from the newly-created opening, awakening the Bloominous Stemples.

Notes

Olimar's notes

A species of subterranean weed. It's an elusive plant, with no known pollinators or even predators. The fact that it only blooms under light implies that its primary pollinator might have the ability to produce light on its own.

Louie's notes

Tea made from the root of this plant will make you feel ten years younger. Drink some every morning and you will begin to feel sunny again in due time!

Ship's comments

I can't hate this plant due to its personal benefits, but its very existence seems to defy the basic first rule of flowers: they need sunlight to grow. It's just so weird!
