The Breadstickbug is a species of breadbug in Pikmin: Rising known for its lengthy body. Visually, they appear the same as an average Breadbug but much more elongated, roughly five times the length of one, and with two pairs of legs, the rear pair being slightly larger than the front pair. When Pikmin attempt to carry an object already being dragged by a Breadstickbug, the creature will dig its heels into the ground, anchoring itself. Pikmin will continue to pull the object, stretching the Breadstickbug. After the creature is stretched to nearly twice its usual length, any Pikmin pulling start to slow down. If these Pikmin are called back by a captain at this time, the item and the Breadstickbug will be flung away a short distance, and the latter will be overturned, revealing a soft underbelly that Pikmin can damage. However, if the Pikmin pulling aren't called back soon enough, the Breadstickbug will launch itself forward; although it still lands on its back, exposing its vulnerable area, the attack will kill all Pikmin in front of it and damage nearby unprotected enemies.

The Baguettebug is an elongated breadbug appearing in Pikmin: Scavenge. It can either swing the end of its body in a circle to fling Pikmin and leaders away, swing it on top of them to bury Pikmin and crush leaders. The way to defeat a Baguettebug is to land Pikmin on top of it, making Purple Pikmin the most effective type to use because of their weight.
