Attacks Spits saliva, revives enemies

The Cleric Whiskerpillar is a species of whiskerpillar appearing in Pikmin: Spark. It has a vivid pink body and magenta whiskers. Dwelling in damp areas, this creature lives with other larger fauna to protect itself until it pupates into a Cleric Stringfly, and in exchange, it cleans parasites off of them. The creature is extremely adept at cleaning parasites with its saliva, which it injects into the creature's body. What makes the saliva unique is that it has the capabilities to revive a creature from near death with just a single injection. As a defense measure, it can spew the saliva as a weak, short-ranged projectile Blue Pikmin are resistant to. Despite its own combat shortcomings and low defenses, the fact it can revive an enemy from near-death makes it extremely dangerous in groups.

Notes

Abel's medical journal

While the saliva doesn't seem to have any effects on the virus ravaging our homeworld, it could, after the virus is cleared, find use as a great energy supplement that can revive even the most tired individual.

PIX's creature scan

Saliva can kill parasites and give the local fauna a sometimes life-saving burst of energy. Doesn't seem to have any antibiotics in its system. Like all whiskerpillars it is only the first phase of a three-stage metamorphosis alongside the currently unseen cocoon stage and adult stringfly.
