In Pikmin Evolution, the Definitely-a-Bulborb is a leafling pretending to be an enemy. They are normal leaflings who wear suits, making them look like various types of Dwarf Bulborbs ranging from the red, orange, and bulbear variants. They are mainly found in settlements, teaching young leaflings the dangers of wild animals and what they should do when confronted with one. They act as decoy enemies to help the player practice tossing Pikmin and share the same behaviors as the creatures they are mimicking. Naturally, they can't kill Pikmin, only scatter them short distances away when shaken off or "eaten", leaving them completely harmless. Defintely-a-Bulborbs are also major facets of the Piklympics, acting as the main targets in the Target Test and Striker's League minigames, where they act as makeshift targets and bowling pins respectively. As their main purpose is to act as targets in these two games, they don't move or attack the captains. In the Target Test minigame, leaders have to carry their unconscious bodies to the ship for them to count as being shot down, while in the Striker's League minigame, they will simply fly off the stage after being hit. Some Definitely-a-Bulborbs carry balloons, allowing them to fly, making them tougher to hit, or wear padded armor, making them either as heavy as 25 Pikmin in the Target Test minigame or need two hits to take down in the Striker's League minigame. Overall, the purpose of this "enemy" is to act as a harmless, often comedic obstacle that is linked to a specific objective or just acts as test dummies to practice Pikmin skills on.
