The Dirtrud is an enemy in Pikmin: Interstellar Cryptid. It resembles its Pikmin: The Mystery Potion incarnation, being a green frog with horn-like protrusions on its head and an elongated tail end. When approached by leaders and Pikmin, it will grab some soil with its mouth and shape it into a small boulder, before spitting the finished product out at its would-be aggressors. This boulder doesn't roll far, and crumbles once it loses all momentum. When attacked by Pikmin, it may retaliate by lashing out its tongue to eat them.

- “Dirtruds spawn when their predators are less active, and have no set breeding period. As such, their population is prone to wildly fluctuating, often unexpectedly so. It deals with small, parasitic insects by crushing them under the weight of compacted balls of sediment bound by its own adhesive saliva.”

The Dirtrud is a smaller member of the frogross family appearing in Pikmin: The Mystery Potion. It can eat up to three Pikmin at a time by pulling them into its mouth with its tongue and can crush Pikmin and leaders under its body weight.
