Attacks Drowns Pikmin

The Dripper Wiggler is an earthworm-like creature appearing in Pikmin Eco. It has a long, pink body resembling a worm or snake, with skin flaps along the back of its head. Its name stems from its faucet-like snout, which curves down into a grey nose, with long, flattened eyes. It is a fairly weak enemy for its size and spends most of its time underground rather than at the surface. Interestingly, its behavior is comparable to basic snavians.

It can be found moving just underneath the surface of the ground, the land shifting slightly as it moves around. If approached, it will emerge from the ground to confront Pikmin and leaders, and then spew out a small stream of water just in front of it that will drown Pikmin caught up in it, except Blue Pikmin. It can only be damaged while aboveground, and throwing a Purple Pikmin on top of it will force it out of the ground, making it slither around for a short while before burrowing back underground.

Notes

In-game entry

This species has turned its mucus into a weapon to protect itself against predators, spewing attackers with its watery substance from its faucet-shaped snout. Its slimy, pink skin is a trademark of its much more vulnerable worm ancestors. It is currently unknown how it retains so much liquid inside its own body, though it is suggested that it absorbs liquid from the surrounding area into its skin, and stores it inside a membrane behind the head to be used in future defense.
