The Elder Mamuta is a larger relative of the Mamuta, appearing in Pikmin X: Deep Freeze. Its appearance is similar to its relatives, but is slightly larger and lumpier in shape, with a covering of moss and small plants growing atop its body, signifying that this creature spends long periods dormant. Three Elder Mamutas appear in the Karst of Gales, sitting idle in an isolated room surrounded by a fertile flower garden no doubt cultivated by the strange creatures. Though they are very capable of planting Pikmin into the ground and can even fling a leader a good distance away with an open-handed smack, they remain completely still so long as they are not attacked, making hauling off the Napsack past them quite easy.
