The Fragmenting Mosshop is a species of pinchipede in Pikmin: Dual Worlds that hides in moss, tall grass, and other hiding spots to avoid being seen. When approached by Pikmin, leaders, and other hostile enemies, it leaps from its hiding spot and starts hopping around, attempting to evade the being that disturbed it. After about fifteen to twenty-five seconds of revealing itself, it stops in place and burst into five to ten Mosshop Larvae.
