Frontier Forest is the first area in Pikmin 3: Return to the Pikmin Planet. It is the easiest to complete of all the areas and is very similar to the Forest of Hope from Pikmin 1 and Awakening Wood from Pikmin 2.
Caves
- Cave of Beginning – west of the landing site.
- Monster Cavern – on the small stretch of land next to the lake with two bridges.
- Hole of Dangers – behind the poison black bramble gates near the center.
- Secret Lands – a hidden cave discovered by fully completing the game. It is located on the westernmost side of the area.

Treasures
- Famous Fruit – a red apple, immediately outside of landing site.
- Defensive Seed – an acorn, on the ledge overlooking the pond from the south.
- Platform Plant – a water lily, on the ledge adjacent to the pond's north side.
- Devastating Arachnid – a dead tarantula, on the high ground by the Secret Lands.
- Ring of Love – a wedding ring, on the high ground above the Cave of Beginning.
