The Fuming Groink is a species of shot-fish appearing in Pikmin: Spark. They are jet black and have a gold faceplate instead of a silver one. Unlike the Gatling Groink, which patrols a territory before spending some time resting, this species spends its time resting in the underground areas it calls home. While resting, it emits natural gas from its mortar cannon. This gas is either green or red and respectively increases or decreases the throw height of all Pikmin tossed in exchange for making them slower or faster. This gas persists within the groink's surrounding area and dissipates only when the groink is defeated. Aside from that and the explosive shells it shoots having a longer range but a smaller blast radius, they have the same behaviors and weaknesses as a normal Gatling Groink.
