The Ice Candypop Bud is a cyan-petaled candypop bud that transforms up to five Pikmin that are thrown into it into Ice Pikmin. Ice Pikmin that are thrown in are simply ejected as seeds in the leaf stage without wasting a conversion.

The Frigid Candypop Bud appears in Pikmin: Planetary Evolution as a white candypop that has light blue petals and is used to propagate Icy Pikmin. They, like the Pikmin they produce, are first discovered in the Cavern of Frigidness.

The Chilly Candypop Bud is a candypop that has an icy texture and is found in arctic climates. When Pikmin are thrown into it, a Chilly Candypop Bud normally produces Cyan Pikmin or Ice Pikmin depending on where it is found. However, when it is freed from ice or the ground, it can be seen in its closed state, and after blooming, may produce five to ten Wilted Pikmin when up to twenty other Pikmin are thrown in. Chilly Candypop Buds melt in warmer climates. If grown in a volcanic climate via Chilly Candypop seeds, they grow to become Molten Candypop Buds, which are used to transform Pikmin into Molten Pikmin.
