The Luminous Spectralid is a legendary flitterbie that appears in Pikmin: Sinister Incinerator. It is found in Highland Field but has a very rare chance, specifically one in one hundred twenty-eight, to appear. It resembles a massive Unmarked Spectralid with rainbow-colored wings decorated with pink spots. The Luminous Spectralid is very timid and flees when it is so much as approached. Because of this, it must be snuck up behind and killed before it can get away. If it escapes, it must be found again. If defeated while petrified, the Luminous Spectralid will yield a wealth of nectar, sprays, and pellets, but it will drop much more if it is killed normally, which additionally allows its body can be taken to an Onion for one hundred Pikmin seeds. After the Luminous Spectralid is killed, it is not seen again.
