The Maggrub is an enemy encountered early in Pikmin: Echoes of Eternity. It resembles a Female Sheargrub but made of granite.
Strategy
It will slowly inch its way near the captains and Pikmin, leaving a trail of acid behind it. It will then bury itself underground, and pop out to spit a wad of acidic spit at the player. Using the dodge roll is best when being shot at. Purple Pikmin are required to flip the enemy over to expose the weak spot. Once that occurs, the Maggrub has no way to defend itself.

- "Granitia Musto, kingdom Animalia, phylum insettocrustia, class nemoteria, family Earth-grub. This eternal larva is made of what appears to be a kind of solid granite, however it has a soft spot underneath. It is a herbivorous heterotroph, with a diet consisting mainly of Cattlegrass. It has volatile acidic secretions out of the mouth and rear."
