Maple is the highly knowledgeable head professor and biologist of the facility E.C.O. in Pikmin Eco. She is the one that assigns Steven to venture onto the Planet of the Pikmin to locate the Oozore for their latest client. Throughout the story, she informs Steven through informative transmissions at the end of each day. According to many of Daisy's interactions, however, she is somewhat clumsy and less competent than she lets on. It is also revealed that she is a fan of Captain Olimar, to the point of almost fainting after seeing him in the secret ending.
