Attacks Eats and burns Pikmin

The Molotov Phosbat is a formidable species of aerodentia appearing in Pikmin: Spark, exclusively in the darkest of dens. Living over a nest of Candle Phosbat pods, it differentiates itself from the Vehemoth Phosbat by having smooth red fur and large, almost feline ears. Its main attacks involve sucking Pikmin into its mouth by creating a vortex, and spewing oily saliva that combusts upon contact with oxygen. The saliva slows leaders and burns anything that walks on it except the den's native phosbats, but it can be destroyed by Red Pikmin. The large ears of the phosbat make it sensitive to loud noises as they suffer heavy damage upon hearing a sudden, piercing sound. The best source of loud noise is the explosions made by bomb rocks, so have Goo Pikmin, the only Pikmin species capable of handling bomb rocks, carry them to and toss them at the creature to stun it momentarily. This is ineffective, however, as the key to defeating the Molotov Phosbat is using the surrounding environment to break its invisibility and expose it to attack. Specifically, Pikmin must be made to build a giant funnel that Goo Pikmin may toss a bomb rock into to amplify the sound of its detonation, bursting the Molotov Phosbat's eardrums and leaving the beast permanently disoriented yet still capable of performing its usual attacks. Upon death, it spits up a random piece of refuse.

Notes

Abel's medical journal

The saliva is highly reactive and ignites upon contact with air but is great for removing moles and rashes, a very complicated procedure indeed.
