Family Pinchipede

The Monochromatic Pinchipede is a long creature composed of eleven segments alternating in size, with nine of them having a glassy weakpoint exposed initially, and essentially acting as a more difficult variant of the Emperor Pinchipede, having higher health and speed. On the front of its head segment is a pair of large serrated mandibles that it actively opens and snaps shut, killing Pikmin and severely injuring leaders in its path as it rolls about its territory. Occasionally, the Monochromatic Pinchipede flips itself over to reveal its black underside, covering all of its weakpoints and exposing its spikes as it rampages about before flipping over again to return to normal. While the smaller segments simply disappear after their weakpoint is destroyed, the larger segments become independent from the Monochromatic Pinchipede to move slowly about the arena, spinning wildly with spikes exposed. After all of its weak points are destroyed, the creature will recall all of its segments. Now, whenever it is in direct line of sight of leaders and Pikmin, it will compress its body segments, reveal its spikes, expose its head's weakpoint, and then launch itself forward. It then follows up by rampaging, then slowing down to prepare another compression attack. After its head's weakpoint is three-fourths of the way destroyed, the segments will be flung away from the creature's head, which will begin relentlessly charging at Pikmin and leaders the bite them. Fortunately, at this point, its only weakpoint is constantly exposed. Upon defeat, it will slow down, come to a stop, and then explode.
