In Pikmin: Dual Worlds, the Mosshop Larva is the younger form of the Fragmenting Mosshop. Five to ten of them fan out in all directions after being born, and ravenously devour decorative vegetation, small enemies, Pikmin, and leaders in their vicinity. After eating everything in sight, they tend to take refuge in hiding spots and on walls, namely within tunnel entrances. They leap out at anything that passes in front of them, cutting them down and eating them. They don't have much vitality, so after their feeding frenzy is over, they can easily be defeated by throwing a Pikmin directly at their head.
