The Occluded Reptongue is a large reptile-like creature appearing in Pikmin X: Deep Freeze. They are found crawling around on walls in the Karst of Gales and can blend in with their surroundings to appear almost invisible, fading in and out of visibility as they go along. Once an Occluded Reptongue catches sight of Pikmin prey, it will maneuver around the walls and ground in quick bursts of speed to avoid the Pikmins' attacks, all while keeping its gaze set on them while occasionally cloaking itself. When the opportunity strikes, the creature will thrust out an extremely long tongue that snags several Pikmin in its path. This moment of hesitation leaves it sitting still long enough to toss Pikmin onto it, weighing it down to the ground to struggle for a brief moment before shaking the attacking Pikmin off and quickly scuttling back onto the wall to recuperate.
