Attacks Creates a trail of oil

The Oily Hairbug is a species of whiskerpillar appearing in Pikmin: Spark as the Arctic Woolfly's larval form. A distant relative of the Ravenous Whiskerpillar, this grub is larger than it and is noted to have on its body a thick layer of fur that, depending on the climate, is either brown or white. Due to their size, they require much sustenance to grow, and like the Breadbug, they scavenge for corpses to eat. Unlike the Breadbug, however, this grub eats corpses it finds on the spot, restoring its health. Its hairy pelt causes it to absorb various substances that it leaves as a trail of slippery oil. While it can't kill Pikmin directly, the fact it eats valuable corpses and leaves behind a hazardous trail makes it a major nuisance. Hairy Pikmin are the best choice to fight this creature as they have perfect traction on its oil.

Notes

Abel's medical journal

The oil is a strange mix of various unknown minerals that can remove most stains off the spot, very intriguing indeed.

Lyn's sale review

While you need to clean the fur first, this beast leaves behind a great pelt for a nice coat.
