The Oozing Capsnider appears in Pikmin X: Deep Freeze. It crawls around aimlessly, and when Pikmin approach, it pulls its wide shell over itself and starts spitting bubbles of oil in an attempt to drown them. Its shell is slick with oil and effortlessly shrugs off attacks from most Pikmin types; it will remain protected until the threat leaves. However, Burr Pikmin are able to cling to the Oozing Capsnider's slippery shell and attack it; they are also immune to its oil bubbles, making them necessary to defeat this creature.
