Paper towels are very advantageous tools appearing in Pikmin Forever. They appear in a stack that never depletes, and Winged Pikmin can be ordered to carry the next towel: they will always carry it by the corners. Other Pikmin can idle on the paper towel when Winged Pikmin pick it up, allowing the Winged Pikmin to carry other Pikmin wherever the leader chooses within the discovered area. One Pikmin requires one Winged Pikmin to carry, so a maximum of fifty Pikmin may be carried by that many Winged Pikmin, though leaders and objects can not be carried in a paper towel. When a leader orders Winged Pikmin to drop a paper towel, any non-Winged riding Pikmin are released, and the paper towel rips and fades away, meaning that a paper towel is not an unlimited mode of transport and can only be carried from the stack. If Pikmin are carried somewhere, leaders should ensure they have a way back to safety before ordering the Pikmin to be dropped off. If Winged Pikmin are somehow incapacitated while carrying, the paper towel will be dropped and the leaders will be alerted.
