Pikmin: Ancient is a real-time strategy Pikmin game created by Cloudtehkitten. Chronologically, it succeeds Pikmin 3.
Story
Two or three years after the events of Pikmin 3, Olimar has retired from Hocotate Freight, having earned millions of Pokos from his space travels. Alph, Brittany, and Charlie are sent back to PNF-404 to gather more fruit seeds, as the ones they gathered are not enough. Along with them is another Koppaite, named Derek. He is simply an intern in space travel and is getting training by being sent off on this trip. The land in the Forest of Hope, where Olimar had ventured before. This area is new to the Koppaites though, so they explore it in earnest. Right after they land, a Pileated Snagret pops out of the ground and smashes their ship to pieces. It swallows Derek, then burrows away...
