The Purple Wollywog is a stronger subspecies of amphituber in Pikmin: Shadows of the Future that is similar in shape to the subterranean Wollywog. It is deep violet in color with red stripes on its back. It has very powerful legs that allow it to jump at a much greater height than its relatives, a jump so high that it disappears out of sight altogether. A few seconds after jumping, it comes crashing down upon Pikmin, landing with such force that a wave of dust is formed. The dust wave will knock any Pikmin away if it hits them.
