The Resilient Jellyfloat is a member of the jellyfloat family that appears in Pikmin: Global Breakdown. After most of the Lesser Spotted Jellyfloat and Greater Spotted Jellyfloat died out, the very few remaining stragglers rapidly mutated to survive the changing conditions on PNF-404. They became the Resilient Jellyfloats, an extremely aggravated and dangerous species of jellyfloat. They secrete the same combustive chemicals as a Fiery Bulblax to heat themselves in the cold environments, meaning only Red Pikmin could attack it. However, the dark smoke the resulting fire gives off is dangerous to all Pikmin, causing them to run around in panic upon feeling or smelling it. As the affected Pikmin blindly run around, the Resilient Jellyfloat will utilize its improved suction to quickly intake them. However, it may inadvertently also suck up and proceed to eat other objects underneath it at the time. Having it ingest inedible objects such as rocks will cause it harm, and, when at full capacity, make it explode in midair.
