The Ridge Mounticlops is a continentia in Pikmin: Dual Worlds that serves as the boss of Silverlake Summit. Found at the tops of mountains, it is large and quite tall and has a spiraling path up to its bulb, which is teal at the bottom and mintier at the top, with a gradient in the middle, and has dark bluish teal foliage on top. To mount the creature, attack its hooves, which are less resistant to damage than those of its marshy relative. Alcoves dot the occasionally icy wall next to the path, and the creature's bulb is protected by both ice and crystal. The Ridge Mounticlops' tongue can reach the entire length of its body and can rotate one thousand eighty degrees in an upwards spiral from its base to its top. The alcoves on its body provide no protection from its tongue. Where ice is present on the creature's body, there are bare Burgeoning Spiderworts on the outer edge of the path; it uses these as bases for the walls and does not eat them because of this, only the berries. Any surface the Ridge Mounticlops licks becomes frozen, and when licking a part of the path, it becomes a slippery slide that no Pikmin can scale. To avoid the tongue, fall to a lower layer of the path, or walk off the beast entirely. When the Ridge Mounticlops is about to use its tongue, all three of its eyes move on their long eyestalks to get a close look at its prey. Hitting an eye temporarily halts the creature's licking attack for five seconds, and after this, its tongue moves at an incredible speed. If all three of its eyes are hit, the crystal and ice covering its bulb shatter instantly, causing the behemoth to tilt in a direction to force its attackers off. After reaching half-health, the Ridge Mounticlops begins to spit one boulder every twenty seconds, and after reaching one-eighth health, the frequency is reduced to ten seconds. The alcoves provide protection from the boulders. After its defeat, the Ridge Mounticlops' corpse becomes a permanent part of the landscape, with several 1-Pellet Posies appearing around the base of the creature, the spiderworts yielding berries, and a 20-Pellet Posy appearing at the top, where the creature's bulb once sat.
