Attacks Eats and stabs Pikmin

The Rising Pine is a falsifloran in Pikmin 5. It resembles its Pikmin E incarnation and is also a boss. The Rising Pine has a significant amount of health, and has two attacks: it can eat Pikmin caught in its mouth, and stab Pikmin from its sides because of the needles covering its body. Charging it with Rock Pikmin after baiting into leaving the ground works best, as they will not die from its needles. If it eats a Green Pikmin, it will struggle to chew it for a while because of its sticky, jelly-like body, but this should only be used as an emergency. However, if the Rising Pine is killed while chewing, the Green Pikmin will be saved, meaning that it can be used as a valid strategy to take down the boss.

The Rising Pine is a DLC enemy appearing in Pikmin: Decayed Leaf. The small creature disguises itself as a Shoot, though not accurately, as it has a noticeably darker green hue. When approached, the Pine will erupt from the ground, skewering any Pikmin on top of it with its long tongue. Up to 3 can be eaten at a time. It will then retreat back into its den if not attacked soon enough. Due to the spikes all over its tall green body, most Pikmin can not damage it; only Rock Pikmin can safely harm it. Dart Pikmin can pierce it as well. The creature shrinks to a smaller size when it’s killed, allowing for easier transportation.

Attacks Eats and skewers Pikmin

The Rising Pine is a member of the chrysanthemum family found in Pikmin E. It exhibits the typical behaviors of its relatives, initially appearing as a small plant but revealing its true form when approached by prey. Rising Pines prefer to swallow Pikmin and leaders whole instead of chewing them to bits first. Any leaders it catches in its mouth will be chewed, suffering damage, before being spat out alongside any Pikmin in its mouth at the time. Because they are covered in sharp pine needles, Rising Pines should only be attacked using Rock Pikmin, although White Pikmin can be fed to the creature to poison it to death. Any Rock Pikmin a Rising Pine attempts to eat will only be briefly chewed before being spat out again along with any other Pikmin that were in its mouth.

Notes

Olimar's notes

This creature is possibly one of the most basic of all of the creatures I've encountered here. That, or I've been here too many times.

Louie's cookbook

Remove pines gently, and peel off the plant-like skin. Preheat oven to 415 degrees and stick it in piece-by-piece every 5-10 minutes. If it lacks in flavor, try adding a bulborb's eye to the mix.

Eli's notes

Taraxacum pineian, such a weird scientific name... The thing has barely any value in Pokos too, considering the Poko value of other beings on the planet. Should make for a nice dinner if prepared properly... Gonna have to ask Louie on that one.

The Rising Pine is a member of the chrysanthemum family appearing in Pikmin E: Remastered. It exhibits the typical behaviors of its relatives, initially appearing as a small, harmless plant but revealing its true form when approached by prey. Rising Pines prefer eating Pikmin and leaders whole, but can also thrust out its sharp tongue to skewer Pikmin on to eat. Because they are covered with sharp pine needles, they should only be attacked using Rock Pikmin. Alternatively, White Pikmin could be used to slowly poison it to death. Any Rock Pikmin a Rising Pine attempts to eat will only be briefly chewed before being spat out again along with any other Pikmin that were in its mouth at the time.

Olimar's notes

A strangely basic creature at first glance, but as it turns out, it's more than what it seems! It'll rise out of the ground and catch you off guard, and devour all your Pikmin! The poor souls...
