The Rock-Clinger Water Dumple is a small grub-dog, just slightly larger than an ordinary Water Dumple, in Pikmin: Infinite Exploration. Usually, Rock-Clinger Water Dumples can be found on the sides of rocks located near water. Occasionally, after noticing a group of Pikmin, the Rock-Clinger Water Dumple may follow the group from a distance until they are too far from a body of water. The Rock-Clinger Water Dumple is not directly dangerous to Pikmin, and can only kill Pikmin who are buried. The Rock-Clinger Water Dumple can bury Pikmin, but only if the Pikmin are close enough when it is flipping to defend itself in combat, otherwise, it is completely harmless. Rock-Clinger Water Dumples are quite easy to kill with a large enough swarm of Pikmin. They put up little fight, as they can only kill Pikmin that are buried. The only thing to watch for is when it's about to flip; when it shakes, the squad of Pikmin should be called back, as any Pikmin caught in its defensive flip will be buried and become vulnerable.
Notes
Olimar's notes
- “This member of the grub-dog family is curious and generally docile in nature. It sucks up plant roots in the ground and algae for nutrition.”
Louie's notes
- “Inedible. Its innards are disgusting due to its life as a bottom feeder.”
