Rock generators are often indestructible obstacles that dispense boulders or rocks, both of which may have special properties, such as being magnetic. The rate and force at which a rock generator produces those objects may vary, although is typically steady and at a moderate force.

Ancient statues are obstacles appearing in Pikmin 2... Again?. They resemble their unused Pikmin 1 incarnation, being mossy statues of strange rotund creatures with two front legs and a circular mouth. However, its mouth hole is larger, and on each side of its face is a depression containing a ruby. The ancient statues are indestructible, and generate enemies through a portal that periodically appears from its mouth or after a certain event. While spawning enemies, its ruby eyes glow. After all enemies are defeated or after something else happens, the ancient statue's gem will turn black and the statue itself will deactivate.

The rock source appears in Pikmin: Scavenge. It is considered a blowhog due to its shape, despite being an obstacle. It can be defeated using a bomb rock, but freezing it also works.
